The First Five Days

Well we finally arrived after what seemed an interminable journey. I certainly won't fly with Royal Brunei on this route again. The crew were great, the food disgusting, and even worse if you are vegetarian. The killer is two stops , Brunei and Dubai, although they were not long stops they were tiring.

Everything went well with Mum's memorial service. Which has finally brought closure. We had a great family get together afterwards, when Sinead could meet most of her Brit relatives for the first time.

This first post has been delayed because on day two I sat on the netbook and cracked the screen. It took until the jet lag wore off to realise that I could plug the monitor from my sisters computer into the netbook,et voila!

Weather has lived up to Kiwi expectations and it has pissed down for 3and a half of the first five days. Although we understand the weather has hardly been spring like in NZ.

Chris and Paul fly of to Phuket and the Adelaide on Sunday. On Monday we will start the touristy bit and hopefully will have a load of photos to post.
